Passion: Seeing people realize their true potential in life. Many of us have a lower perception of our true capabilities, my belief is that there is an inner athlete in everyone, an inner drive that once discovered produces profound results in health, fitness and life - unleashing this is my passion.

Personal Fact: Growing up in British Columbia, I am a true outdoorsman, nature revitalizes me. There is nothing more rejuvenating and exhilarating than heading off on a trail run in the middle of nowhere, fighting the elements, tackling the incline to see what you're made of and then arriving at the peak of a mountain overcome by the tranquility of nature and a 360 degree view of the landscape surrounding you. Fitness is my play, Nature is my playground.

Background: BSc in Kinesiology, CSEP-CEP (Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology - Certified Exercise Physiologist), Certified Spinning instructor, working towards certification for Yoga and Traditional Muay Thai

Aside from training, currently working with Sick Kids hospital in the Physiological Research Unit as a Research Assistant.

Passion: I love training because I have the opportunity to eat, breathe and sleep fitness. I love spending entire days working with different individuals talking and teaching health and fitness. I get to teach people all that I know about fitness, and in return I not only get the reward of assisting people to reach their fitness goals, but also get to learn new things from each new person I meet. I am inspired by each of my clients in a different way, and collectively give me the drive to stay motivated to take care of myself. In a session with me, you will encounter a holistic approach to training. I love working every aspect of the client; from strength to cardio, major muscle groups to tiny stabilizer muscles, physical to mental.

Personal Fact: In January 2010 I started training in Muay Thai. The intense workouts intertwined with the culture and tradition behind the sport pulled me in and I have yet to drop my gloves. Eventually I would like to step into the ring; not to beat someone up, but to take a well learned skill and utilize it. Also to push myself out of my comfort zone and prove to myself that there is nothing I cannot do.

When you train with me, you will be challenged to reach that next level that you have always been capable of...but never realized it.

Personal Fact: I have an obsession with beach volleyball. I earned the nickname Chester, after the Cheetos tiger, because of my trick/"cheese" shots and ambidexterity. My partner and I won provincials and came in 9th at nationals in 2010 and this summer we are going for the gold!

I love that I am able to pass along all that I have learned and in turn help others to achieve their goals. Helping people change their perception of fitness, challenging them to reach their full potential and adapting a healthy, balanced lifestyle is what it's all about!

Personal Fact: I am a very proud mother of one spectacular little girl. It is through my daughter that I maintain my drive and perseverance to be at my personal best. Vince

Fitness Specialist

Background: B.A. Health Studies at Queen’s University, Can-Fit-Pro PTS, and Former C.I.S. Athlete

Passion: Personal training challenges me to create programs designed to help people achieve their specific and individual goals...and I love it! I am absolutely thrilled when I see a client put in 110% effort to achieve their personal best. I played football at Queen’s (offensive line), where I was a first year starter, a three time Ontario University Athletics All-Star, an All-Canadian and winner of the 2009 Vanier Cup (Canadian University Football Champions). In 2010, I played football for the Bolzano Giants in Bolzano Italy where I was contracted to play, coach, and train the team. All my programs have a similar underlying concept; to make everyday people look, but more importantly, feel like athletes!

Personal Fact: While living in Boston MA, I broke three high school power lifting records with a 565lb dead lift, 350lb bench press, and 525lb.

Being a university offensive lineman, my playing weight was 310 pounds. After concluding my football career, I decided to return down to a more human weight. I dropped 60 pounds by changing my nutrition and my workouts. I am living proof that a program specific to your goals can sculpt your body in any way you want.

I am also able to push you through a workout in three languages!

My clients look forward to a good sweat and a good laugh. I look forward to them discovering something unexpected in themselves!

Passion: For me, fitness is a way to relate to others, to see ones mood improve and ultimately to see them experience "the glass is half full" mentality. My classes include a combination of strengthening, stretching, balance and co-ordination, all while targeting the core muscle groups. My aim is to consistently provide a diverse workout for all my students.

Personal Fact: My dad decided I needed to toughen up and placed me into a boy's hockey league at the ripe age of six. I learned from an early age, you have to challenge yourself by doing things you would not necessarily do in order to achieve personal growth. I try to follow this attitude in all aspects of my life.
